Watch! Police are on high alert following the arson of Pastor Mboro’s church
The church, called Incredible Happenings and situated just behind the Katlehong North police station, was looted shortly before it was set on fire. Police have confirmed to News24 that students from a nearby school are responsible for the arson.
Pastor Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng and three others were arrested on Tuesday after a viral video captured them storming Matsediso Primary School in Katlehong to forcibly take his grandchildren.
This incident has raised significant concerns regarding the safety of both teachers and students in public schools.

In response to the widely shared video on Monday, Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube called on Police Minister Senzo Mchunu to ensure an urgent investigation into the matter.
On Tuesday, Gauteng Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Tommy Mthombeni confirmed to Radio 702 that four suspects had been arrested in connection with this dramatic event. Mthombeni stated that they would be appearing in court soon.
The viral video shows Motsoeneng, wielding two pangas and accompanied by an armed bodyguard, forcing his way into the school. The pastor insisted on retrieving his grandchildren, despite claims that he does not have custody of them.
